Fire Island’s Bay Walk Bungalow gets Renovation from Rodman Paul Architects

Rodman Paul Architects has taken on a beautiful renovation project of a bungalow in Fire Island’s Bay Walk neighborhood in Fire Island Pines. 248 Bay Walk features sprawling views of the Great South Bay, along with a wooden deck, pool, outdoor shower and hot tub.

The New York City-based Rodman Paul Architects made it their mission to highlight the unique waterfront views from multiple areas of the single-story house. The outdoor living area features sun loungers and an al fresco dining area, perfect for entertaining.

“The renovation opens the central core of the house to create a long view through the main living spaces to the bay beyond,” Rodman Paul Architects explained in an overview of the project. “Two pods, which contain secondary spaces, serve as a gate framing the view to the water but keep the open plan from feeling overly exposed.”

The design renovation, overseen by Mark Schryver, consists of orange accents inside and outside the house, as well as muted neutrals, with the Great South Bay as the star.
