Although Fire Island is known for being a beautiful summertime oasis, there is so much left unsaid about Fire Island when the weather starts to get colder and the holidays approach. Fire Island might be a summer playground, but there is much to do in the fall and winter. Below is a schedule of fun events for the whole family, put on by the Fire Island National Seashore. The Fire Island National Seashore (FINS) was established as part of the National Park Service on September 11, 1964.
