Indie Horror Film Fire Island to Begin Filming in Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove

Posted on May 5, 2021 by admin in Fire Island News

A sequel to Netflix’s Last Ferry, an indie horror film, will begin filming on Fire Island this month. The film is called Fire Island and will film in Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines.

The director of the film, Myles Wyatt Clohessy, played Raphael in Last Ferry.

“Unlike many movies which are shot in locations different from what they are represented to be, these two fiction productions are real and true,” Clohessy told Long Island Press.

“Based on the audience reception, several credentialed producers including four-time Emmy winner Jared Safier, have come forward to take Last Ferry II being re-named Fire Island to the next level. What was initially a drama and thriller will evolve into horror.”

The cast includes Clohessy’s father, Robert Clohessy, Timothy V. Murphy, Connor Paolo, Robert John Burke, Kahyun Kim and others.
