Northwell Health Opens Third Clinic on Fire Island for the Summer Season

Northwell Health has opened a third urgent care facility on Fire Island for the summer season. The new location is in Saltaire, following locations in Cherry Grove and Ocean Beach.

COVID-19 testing won’t be offered at the clinics, but summer emergencies that are non-life-threatening like insect bites, minor injuries and allergic reactions can be treated. In emergency situations, Northwell will arrange transportation to Southside Hospital.

“Even though our health care practitioners were consumed with caring for COVID-19 patients and my community relations team has been working diligently to provide free COVID antibody testing at churches in underserved areas, we recognized how important it is to provide this medical care over the summer in Fire Island and have even expanded our locations to include Saltaire,” said Edward Fraser, who serves as project manager of the Fire Island clinics and MHA, vice president of community relations at Northwell Health.

Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, with Friday hours only 4-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours are from 9-11am and then 4-6pm.
The Northwell Health clinics are open from June 19, 2020 thru September 7, 2020. The newest Solatiare clinic is located at 100 Bay Promenade.
