Fire Island Dance Festival Returning to Fire Island Pines July 2018

Fire Island Dance Festival will return to the Great South Bay the weekend of July 20-22, 2018. The festival has raised over $5.6 million for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, since its inception in 1995.

Dancers Responding to AIDS ensures the proceeds of events like this one fund lifesaving medications, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance to those in need throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. DRA supports programs of The Actors Fund, including the HIV/AIDS Initiative and The Dancers’ Resource, and over 450 AIDS and family service organizations nationally.

The festival weekend kicks off with the Leadership Event on Friday night, which includes cocktails and an exclusive performance for ticketholders. Those who are Leadership supporters also get access to the sunset performance on Saturday or priority seating at either 5 pm performance and recognition in the harbor and throughout Fire Island Pines. Leadership tickets start at $375 and regular tickets are $175. There are also options for a day-trip package and VIP packages.

The Fire Island Dance Festival’s host, choreographers and performers will be announced this spring. Past choreographers and performers include Tony award winners and acclaimed dance companies.
